With the month of August ending, we can positively say that this has been an exhilarating month. The main highlights are the Grand Launch of Indonesia Blockchain Hub, which was received with lots of excitement, and the developments our deployment team has been making in our pilot projects!

DEPLOYMENT

Pilot project data collection skyrockets!

This August, we really picked up the pace in our pilot projects and almost doubled our total collected data! Especially the first two weeks of the month were very productive. In total, we have now collected valuable data from over 5600 farmers, and have documented over 1100 hectares in 117 villages.

HARA collaborates with HEXA in Tojo Una-Una

The HARA deployment team visited Tojo Una-Una in Central Celebes to learn more about the production quality and practices in the area. HARA has partnered up with HEXA in that region to help improve the local farmers productivity in the production of corn. To that end, HARA is helping HEXA and BNI to disburse microcredit loans by connecting the dots of data from and to each stakeholder.

HARA was proud to support the grand launch of Indonesia Blockchain Hub, a space dedicated to the promotion and development of blockchain technology. Indonesia Blockchain Hub (IBH) aims to bring together the different Indonesian blockchain communities, drive innovation, and provide education on blockchain technology. Apart from HARA, the grand launch was also supported by Indonesian Blockchain Association (ABI), the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the government agency BEKRAF.

1st Airdrop (August 16th — 26th)

We completed our first and highly anticipated airdrop. A generous 3,333,333 HARA Token (HART) was allocated for the airdrop, intended to be divided between 8000 participants. During the 10 day run, HARA attracted an immense number of participants from all over the world.

All token will be distributed through the QRYPTOS platform after our Initital Token Sale. If you joined the airdrop, make sure to join our Telegram community and follow all steps of the KYC process on QRYPTOS to ensure you will receive your HART!

PARTNERSHIPS

Partnership with AIP PRISMA (August 1st)

One of HARA’s new partners is PRISMA, a multi-year program under the AIP-Rural which works to help spur growth in the agricultural value chain. PRISMA was designed to increase the competitiveness of poor farmers by giving them access to private and public services. HARA will supply the platform onto which data will be collected from PRISMA’s extensive network of stakeholders in the agriculture sector. Earlier this year, in an initial collaboration with PRISMA, HARA collected farmers’ and field data from 1598 farmers and created a data collection model that is designed to improve the local economies of these rural areas.

Partnership with ABI (August 21st)

HARA is partnering with the African Business Institute (ABI), an educational institution based in Uganda and Malawi. The collaboration with the ABI will initially focus on the deployment of a pilot project in Uganda, which will be the first African country where HARA will be rolled out. The team from ABI will help to find partners and advisors that can contribute real value to HARA’s project, as well as prepare the different stakeholders that are necessary for a successful implementation of the HARA data exchange ecosystem.

ADVISORS

This month we announced that Dr. Taco Bottema is one of HARA’s advisors. Bottema has more than 20 years of managerial experience from the United Nations, the European Union, and the Asian Development Bank. Currently, Bottema actively strives to improve sustainable agriculture in Southeast Asia. With his extensive knowledge in sustainable agriculture, Bottema will be able to provide keen insights on the development and implementation of HARA and will help to optimize the social impacts to the ecosystem.

Another addition to our advisors is Wolf Kluge. As a pioneer in providing financial access to Indonesians, he created a wide range of lending products and built the base for the digitalization of the loan approval process for smallholder businesses. As a seasoned financial risk expert, Kluge advises on the development of lending products in the HARA ecosystem.

MEDIA

HARA saw extensive media coverage as one of the main drivers behind the launch of the Indonesia Blockchain Hub:
